Tolkien wrote of the Eldar Elves in the legends that became part of his posthumous Silmarillion. The Eldar are the wisest, most ancient ancestors of the Elven folks we meet in The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings.

His 20th century fairy tales drew from the oldest storytelling traditions of the western world.  A historian of languages, Tolkien gifted us these deep-rooted stories anew.  They are full of compelling lore about personal transformation.  In borrowing his word, Eldar, I am acknowledging our human potential to embody the ancient Wisdom that Tolkien rekindled.

In our elder, waning years, our mettle is tested in ways unimagined when we began this life’s journey.  But beyond the physical challenges of aging bodies, we may also experience a new Calling–for honest retrospection, meaningful integration, and a fierce intention to yet fulfill our destinies.

That intention does not require another decade of life, nor any measure of clock time.  It is a Knowing that exists beyond physical measure.  It can be received, perceived, and made Whole within us in one deep cosmic breath.  Inhaled; fully accepted.  And then exhaled; fully grown.  Thus, Witnessed.

Eldar Counsel work is grounded in the long cycles/cosmic breaths of our astrological charts.
